I had a very mixed experience with Precision Garage Door Service of Jacksonville. On the service side, this was absolutely 5-star. My garage door would not close because one of the cables had come off the pulley, and they responded very quickly late on a Friday evening when I really needed help. The technician was extremely friendly, professional, communicative, and took the time to explain everything clearly. At no point did I feel pressured into making a decision, and I want to be very fair about that. He showed me that the grooves in my pulleys were almost gone, which made sense since they are more than 20 years old, and he also pointed out that the cables were starting to wear. He recommended replacing both pulleys and cables rather than simply putting the cable back on, especially since the same issue could easily happen again soon. He also noted that my rollers were wearing out, and when I asked about replacing those too, he even contacted his manager and got that price reduced. So to be clear, I was not forced into any of these repairs. I agreed to them because, given the age of the parts and the fact that my garage door would not close, it seemed like the most practical decision at the time. My frustration is with the total cost. I understand that emergency evening service comes at a premium, and I also understand that I made the final decision to approve the work. But after everything was done, I looked up the cost of the parts themselves — the rollers, cables, and pulleys — and found that they can be purchased for under $100 total. That was incredibly disappointing to discover after paying more than $1,200 for the work. I do not work on garage doors myself because I am very cautious about the springs and the tension involved, which is why I chose to call a professional. Since it was late on a Friday and my garage door would not close, I decided to move forward with the repairs rather than spend time researching costs. Afterward, when I looked up the price of the parts and saw how low they were, I was extremely disappointed and came away feeling like I had been charged far more than was reasonable, especially since technician completed the work was done in about 90 minutes. So overall, this review is two-sided: the technician and the service experience were excellent, and I truly appreciated the fast response and friendly professionalism. But I am very disappointed in the pricing, and that is what leaves a bad overall feeling for me.

Lift cable on my double-door garage disconnected and needed repair. I had not used PRECISION Service before, but did have their number in my files as a source I planned on using at one point or another for a tune-up on my doors; this repair gave me reason to call PRECISION. Everything went very smoothly from initial call with AVA who was helpful & thorough to actual service. I was offered same day, within hours, appointment with Technician: NATE LEWIS who came to house within couple hours; I appreciated the follow-up status calls from both office & Tech. and the fact I was sent a Employee picture also, so I would recognize who was knocking at my door! Nate evaluated the problem and gave me the cost & solution to fix. I will say that in these days, I did find the cost to repair "reasonable" and also added the $49.99 'Tune Up" on my single garage door, so overall price was still reasonable. Nate was very personable, polite and thorough with his info and the repair. He did point out potential service that may be needed in future due to age of garage doors, but was not "pushy'; we agreed that those items could hold for now till another day - he actually made a paperless check-list of future items he noted and said it would be placed in my service file for future reference if needed - and when the time comes, I will be glad to call Precision.

Hayden Saari was my service technician and was fantastic. It turned into a two day job and Hayden thoroughly explained the pros and cons of each job. First day was a broken spring door repair , then a new garage door opener was installed a few days later after Hayden explained why that would be the best option. Through the entire process Hayden was a true professional . Purchased springs , rollers, and a new garage door opener with sensors, remotes , and a wall mount remote. Again, very informative as well as personable, plus a great listener. On top of all that, he knows his product line and worked out a fair and reasonable deal for the work done . Great guy and a great salesman! Highly recommend Hayden and Precision Garage Door

When my garage door failed to open recently at about 3 p.m., I called Precision Garage Door Service. I thought they would make an appointment for the next day. I was wrong. They had a service technician (Tim Van Vuren) respond to my home in about 1 hour. I reveived an email alerting me when he was on the way. By 4 p.m. Tim was working on repairing my garage door - replacing the motor, springs and rollers. I was very impressed on the whole experience from the first phone call to Tim's professionalism and experience doing the repairs and helping me reset the openers, synching my car to the remote and explaining the warranty on the parts and labor.

Our garage door wouldn't open this morning as we were headed out to take our dog to the groomer. I called precision and in 10 minutes I received a text saying someone will be here between 12-4. Driver texted and told me he was on his way before noon. Install was quick and the installer was extremely pleasant and there were no surprises. He gave us the quote and had the items on hand. 1 hour later we were able to leave our garage. Highly recommend this company.
