I had a very mixed experience with Precision Garage Door Service of Jacksonville. On the service side, this was absolutely 5-star. My garage door would not close because one of the cables had come off the pulley, and they responded very quickly late on a Friday evening when I really needed help. The technician was extremely friendly, professional, communicative, and took the time to explain everything clearly. At no point did I feel pressured into making a decision, and I want to be very fair about that. He showed me that the grooves in my pulleys were almost gone, which made sense since they are more than 20 years old, and he also pointed out that the cables were starting to wear. He recommended replacing both pulleys and cables rather than simply putting the cable back on, especially since the same issue could easily happen again soon. He also noted that my rollers were wearing out, and when I asked about replacing those too, he even contacted his manager and got that price reduced. So to be clear, I was not forced into any of these repairs. I agreed to them because, given the age of the parts and the fact that my garage door would not close, it seemed like the most practical decision at the time. My frustration is with the total cost. I understand that emergency evening service comes at a premium, and I also understand that I made the final decision to approve the work. But after everything was done, I looked up the cost of the parts themselves — the rollers, cables, and pulleys — and found that they can be purchased for under $100 total. That was incredibly disappointing to discover after paying more than $1,200 for the work. I do not work on garage doors myself because I am very cautious about the springs and the tension involved, which is why I chose to call a professional. Since it was late on a Friday and my garage door would not close, I decided to move forward with the repairs rather than spend time researching costs. Afterward, when I looked up the price of the parts and saw how low they were, I was extremely disappointed and came away feeling like I had been charged far more than was reasonable, especially since technician completed the work was done in about 90 minutes. So overall, this review is two-sided: the technician and the service experience were excellent, and I truly appreciated the fast response and friendly professionalism. But I am very disappointed in the pricing, and that is what leaves a bad overall feeling for me.

I read the reviews then called them. The lady took my information. 25 mins later Ray called to advise me he would arrive. 6 mins later he was on the the job. Broken spring and worn coils. 1 and 1/2 hours later he had replaced and finished. This is a first class operation from the receptionist to Ray. A bit pricy but very professional, highly recommend them.

I called Precision at 2:40 pm to schedule a garage door repair and they scheduled between 4 and 8 pm same day. Hayden arrived with a smile on his face less than an hour after scheduling the appointment. Communication via text was excellent. Hayden was polite and explained the repair options after assessing the problem and provided the quote and the job was completed in less than an hour and a half. Hayden replaced two springs, the shaft, three bearing plates, and ten rollers. Very pleased with the promptness of the service and Hayden’s professionalism and attention to detail. Will definitely call Precision in the future if the need arises and highly recommend.

I was very impressed with your company. I called and you had someone out here within a little over an hour. Diagnosed my problem and fixed it. Your technicians were extremely nice, professional and knowledgeable.They Went out of their way to be helpful and to help me understand what was wrong. I’m an 82-year-old woman and people are always trying to take advantage of me. Your guys were very polite and couldn’t do enough to help me move stuff out of the way. There is no push or pressure to do any repairs they review everything and give you recommendations the rest is up to you. The wiring work I needed done was done well. I believe the service man "up-sold" me a bunch of other stuff I didn't request (Mostly maintenance stuff), but I would have appreciated knowing about it and being given the chance to say "yes" or "no" ahead of it being added to the work. I had asked about a new remote. He added one to the invoice, but did say I could reject it if I wanted. I kept it.

Precision installed my garage door opener in 2017. They replaced my outside keypad last year. This morning I called for service. The guy arrived within half an hour and I was up and running again in no time. I have never had an issue with their workmanship. They are always prompt, courteous and efficient. You really could not ask for more.

Made the appointment on a Monday, and they were able to come out the very next day. They were fair, told us exactly what needed to be fixed, gave us options, and they repaired the damage extremely efficiently.
