A broken garage door is about as fun a root canal or a colonoscopy. One car is locked in the garage, the other car is locked out, it's a 100 degrees in the shade and it's 4 o'clock in the afternoon. What to do ? In short, after a few minutes on the internet, we call Precision Door Service. Not only did they send a service tech within the hour, they replaced both springs on my 30 year old 16' insulated door by 6 o'clock. Amazing. My technician, Chad, was very professional and extremely personable. He went over all the options and what items needed to be replaced, and why. After replacing the broken parts, he adjusted all of the door opener settings to insure that the door opened and closed correctly. The total price was reasonable and fair. To be sure, I will keep the name and number for Precision Door Service, as well as the name of the technician,Chad. A company is typically only as good as it's employees. This was a perfect example. My garage door wouldn't close. I was able to get a next day appointment. Nate took his time and did everything to troubleshoot the issue. There was wear and tear so we ended upgrading a torque conversion. He was very helpful, kind, patient, and professional. I was told by another garage door sales/repair company that if we had a hurricane my door would cave in and also that there was no way to make it quieter. Precision came out and to give me an estimate on a new door and he told me I didn’t need a door, it is hurricane compliant to 130mph and suggested I have them come out do some work on the door which would make it quieter, which I did, and for $800 its a much different door and it saved me $2000+. Doesn’t get better than that!
