I had a great experience with Precision today. They were easy to schedule and I got same day service. The technician was on time and was very helpful with making sure I knew with self maintenance in the future. He also installed the part I needed quickly and made double sure everything was functioning properly before leaving. Great service.

Nate was awesome. There was some problems connecting the unit to the internet and he stayed until everything was working correctly which required a phone call to genie. He also went above and beyond by servicing the garage door a little and letting me know about possible trouble issues down the road.

Tech was very personable and professional, quickly identifying the issue with my garage door not closing. The tech also, took the time to inspect the "brains" of the unit and showed me what he found. He did not push me to buy anything I did not want and quickly replaced both garage door sensors and performed multiple tests via all means to open close and that it identified objects in the doors path and reversed from closing to opening. Minor issue was the time window of 4 hours and the tech did not arrive or notify me of his delay.

My 17 year old garage door was showing its age. I called Precision on the advice of a neighbor. They came out ready to work!!! The analyzed the door’s problems which were more than I suspected and immediately began implementing fixes. They are EXPENSIVE - but in my experience it’s cheaper to pay an expert’s rates than a paying a novice to do it over again. My door is working like it’s brand new and even looks better. The replaced bad hinges - added stiffeners and replace aging pulleys and cables! All in a couple of hours.

Walter was my technician on 8/11/2025, whom I requested for service for a Genie coupler that was replaced in 5/2023. Walter is very professional and demonstrates honesty and integrity in recommending needed service and explains the needed repairs. He is loyal to his company and his superiors judging by our pleasant exchanges. I would rate Walter 5 STARS for his service! I question why the coupler needed to be replaced in 2 years at considerable expense to me. It appears that the springs replaced by a Precision technician in 2/2022 were not designed to handle the weight of my door. This in time affects the coupler, all reasonably logical. When Reggie, the technician replaced the broken springs in 2/2022 after 26 years of reliable service, he distinctly said when bringing in the new replacement springs, "These are NOT the springs I usually would install, but I don't have those on my truck now. But with your type of use, these should work for you." Rather than telling me that he would have to go to the shop and get the correct springs or make an appointment for the next day, HE made a CHOICE by telling me they should work and installed the springs. Given that my garage door is usually only opened and closed a few times a week, it's obvious that the springs installed should NOT have been installed. It was irresponsible and unprofessional. On a limited income, I had to replace a coupler and springs because of this Precision employee. AN

In the early evening my garage door suddenly failed with a loud clang and wouldn’t raise up. Called Precision immediately and they had a repairman out early the next day. The repairman called me with an estimated arrival time before showing up. After inspection he provided a list of everything that needed attention and was very clear that beyond a couple of critical items that needed to be fixed to bring the door back in service, he would do what I chose to have him address (no up-selling here). I ended up doing everything on the list anyway because my home is almost 30 years old and it was time for a major tune-up. I was very impressed with the company and the expertise and professionalism of the repairman. Highly recommended.
